ABOUT HAND-O-MATIC

Hand-o-matic allows you to:

  • Enter your measurements
  • Select different models of hand, such as for people with no thumb
  • Preview the parts
  • Generate 3D printable STL files that get emailed to the email address provided

 

Hand-o-matic does NOT:

  • Generate a request to order manufacturing of this product
  • Talk to a 3D printer

Help with Measurements

Measure your knuckle width (R8) and palm length (R9) as shown by the labeled arrows in the photograph.

Measurements should be in millimeters (mm). To convert inches to millimeters, multiply by 25.4. For example, 3.5 inches is 88.9 mm.

Help with Model Selection

First select the “palm style” that suits your needs. The palm is the part that covers your hand. The default is “Raptor Hand”. For more information about the different designs and options that are available, see e-NABLE Upper Limb Prosthetics.

If you have a thumb, then you should select a prosthetic design labeled “no thumb”.

Some designs have “support” and “no support” versions. You should typically select the “support” version. The “no support” version is provided for those that prefer to generate their own support structures in their printer’s software.

Second, select a matching finger style.

Third, select a gauntlet style. The gauntlet is the part that covers your arm.

Then enter the thickness of the padding that you will be using. 5mm is a typical thickness.

You can view the complete prosthetic, or individual parts by selecting them from the “What would you like to view” menu.

When you have a selection that you are happy with, enter your email address and click “Send” to have a link to the files emailed to you.

I understand that Hand-o-matic is intended to benefit individuals having specific disabilities and is not intended, and shall not be used, for commercial use. I further understand and agree that any individual associated with e-NABLE organization shall not be liable for any injuries or damages resulting from the use of any of the materials related to the e-NABLE hand.

There seems to be a few missing values from the required measurements table in the first panel. Please set the associated numeric values for those fields colored in red before submitting again.
